HOLY THURSDAY & GOOD FRIDAY Come be a part of these two services, as we remember the Last Supper and the passion of our Lord, through prayer, song and meditation on Holy Thursday. Return Good Friday for another meaningful worship experience on the passion and crucifixion of our Lord. Moving through the Holy Triduum (Holy Thursday-Easter Sunday evening) enables us to more fully appreciate Christ’s death and Resurrection and how much God truly loves the world. Holy Thursday will be on April 18th and Good Friday on April 19th; both services will be at 7 pm.

17/04/2019

Join us this EASTER Sunday, April 21st for Services at 7:00 am or 11:00 am and a BREAKFAST FOR ALL at 8:15 am, in the Grace Fellowship Hall . Our scripture focus this week is: If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15: 19 -26

Join us this Sunday, April 14th for Palm Sunday Services at 8:45 am or 11:00 am and a Lenten Study (during the Sunday School hour) at 10:00 am. Our scripture focus this week is: Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter. I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation. The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. The LORD has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. LORD, save us! LORD, grant us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you. The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar. You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 118:19-29

Our scripture focus this week is: This is what the LORD says-- he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise. Isaiah 43: 16 -21

For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?' "'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.'" Luke 13: 6– 9

Join us this Sunday, March 10th for Sunday Services at 8:45 am or 11:00 am and a Lenten Study (during the Sunday School hour) at 10:00 am. Our scripture focus this week is: At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, "Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you." He replied, "Go tell that fox, 'I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.' In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day-- for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.' " Luke 13: 31-35

Join us this Sunday, March 10th for Sunday Services at 8:45 am or 11:00 am and the start of our 6-week Lenten Study at 10:00 am. Our scripture focus this week is: "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10: 8b – 13

04/03/2019

Join us THIS Wednesday, March 6th at 7:00 pm as we gather for Ash Wednesday worship in the sanctuary. Ash Wednesday is a call “in the name of the church, to observe a holy Lent: by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God’s Holy Word” (The United Methodist Book of Worship.) Though Scripture, song, meditation, the imposition of ashes and the celebration of Holy Communion, we begin our Lenten journey.

28/02/2019

Join us this Sunday, March 3rd for Sunday Services at 8:45 am or 11:00 am and Sunday School at 10:00 am. Our scripture focus this week is: The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. Great is the LORD in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations. Let them praise your great and awesome name-- he is holy. The King is mighty, he loves justice-- you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right. Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. Psalm 99: 1 - 5
